How do I clean my downloads/logs in HL/Hl2 Games?
If you have some performance issues than some of it can be caused by these things called download zmtp's and log files.
The server generates these for cache purposes and to keep track of commands and player logs on servers. The calculation of these logs can be very tedious and can cause
the server to spend more time generating a log than actually rendering its enviroment. The reason being it has to look in the directory before it starts to generate a log, and if there are hundreds of logs in that one folder it has to wait for all of them to be recognized to make sure there is no other log name.
To clean your logs and downloads, and keep your server crispy:
Login to The Orb (http://gcp.nextgenservers.com)
Go to settings -> then find the "Clean" button
Click on the clean button and select the current mod you're using.
Hit update and wait 5-10 seconds as it cleans.
Start your server and away you go.
